Description/Purpose Statement
As health professionals, we need to challenge the assumptions we hold about the types of pain patients experience, the medications and dosages we should give them, and other methods of providing comfort.  The purpose of this class is to learn how to assess different types of patients for pain, dispel the myths surrounding pain management, and discuss the pharmacologic and alternative therapies to manage pain.

Target Audience
This class was designed for nurses; however, other health care professionals are welcome to attend.
