Description/Purpose Statement
Telemetry is no longer just monitoring a patient's cardiac rhythm – the acuity and range of assessments and interventions done on telemetry and stepdown units has grown exponentially in the last five years.   The purpose of this class is to learn about assessing the cardiac patient, cardiac drugs, interventional cardiology, electrical therapy of cardiac problems, and working with the post-operative cardiac patient.

Target Audience
This class was designed for new telemetry and step-down nurses; however, other health care professionals are welcome to attend.
