Many hospitals and same-day surgery sites have purchased this system to help orient their new staff and as a resource. The system consists of a manual, video tape, and reproducible answer sheet. The Anesthesia Recovery Nursing Care Guide covers the following topics: Same-day surgery General anesthetics Regional anesthetics Recovery from surgery Neuromuscular blocking agents Promoting comfort post-operatively Plus an extensive section on managing the pediatric patient
The cost of this learning system is $200. Once you have purchased the Anesthesia Recovery Nursing Care Guide, you may use it to help orient your staff by showing the video, having them follow along in the Guide and answering questions on the answer sheet. If contact hours are desired for completing the activity, the individual can mail in their answer sheet to TCHP with a $2 processing fee and they will receive a certificate of completion for either 6.5 or 8 contact hours (depending on whether they complete the pediatric section or not).
